Fundraising Umbrella Groups markOfficial Fundraising Umbrella Groups

We’re looking for teams of volunteers to join us in an ambitious plan to create Umbrella Groups all over the country. We need people who want to work together to raise funds to give help today and provide hope for tomorrow to anyone affected by a brain tumour.

Fundraising activities can be anything and everything – ranging from dress-down days and cake sales to gala dinners and sponsored walks. It’s up to you, your interests and your creativity! You can share your stories and drum up support on our Facebook and Twitter sites.

Take a look at our map of events run by Brain Tumour UK and Umbrella Groups in your area, including group training events/roadshows.

Mason's Magic, an umbrella group success story

Mason Fountain (pictured right) was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2010. He and his Mum were struck by the situation they saw in other children with brain tumours and their siblings, and formed the Mason’s Magic Umbrella Group to provide grants. To date he has raised thousands of pounds, and has a popular Twitter feed with followers including Gordon Ramsay, Ricky Gervais, Kym Marsh and Clare Nasir.

The Brain Tumour UK fundraising team provides advice, support and resources to help the passionate fundraisers behind Mason's Magic to realise Mason's ambitions.

Setting up a group

Your group will give you a great way to fundraise with friends, family and colleagues whilst getting the support you need from us. We'll help you as much as we can – our regional staff will be on hand to offer advice and our fundraising team can help with setting up your group.

We understand that the creation of groups may be under difficult circumstances, so do please contact our fundraising team to talk about your ideas. You can also call us on 0845 4500 386. You may wish to link your group to a Tribute Fund, and we can help you with that, too.

If you're ready to start, get in touch with us today and we'll send you all the information you need.
