Our management team

Our professional management team works to ensure that Brain Tumour UK meets its charitable objectives in a cost-effective way, to make the most of every penny that you donate.

From our central office near Chesham, Bucks, we manage a team of office-based and remote staff. Every one of us talks to people affected by a brain tumour as part of our daily work, helping to ensure that we understand what matters to you, our valued supporters.

Jenny Baker OBE, Chief Executive

“I am honoured and excited to be Chief Executive of Brain Tumour UK at an interesting stage in its development.”

Jenny was appointed Chief Executive in 2006.  She has since led on turning round Brain Tumour UK to what it is today - a needs-led, professional and flourishing national charity. Previously Jenny had spent a long and varied career with The National Trust, for her last 14 years as its national lead on community development and volunteering.

In 2005, Jenny was awarded the OBE for her services to heritage, community and voluntary action. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and has served as a Trustee for two national charities - Volunteering England and the Churches Conservation Trust - and a local Council for Voluntary Service.  All have brought valuable insights into the services provided by national and local voluntary organisations and the difference their efforts can make to people's lives.

Jenny has experienced the devastating consequences of a brain tumour diagnosis first - hand:  in 2004 she lost  her son, Stephen,  aged 24, to a high - grade tumour.
