On 21 August, Ryan and Dan Kowarsky took time out of their first UK tour to meet members of the Norwich Brain Tumour Support Group.

The brothers, who perform as RyanDan, know first hand how it feels to lose someone they care about; their four-year-old niece, Tal, lost her fight against a malignant and agressive tumour earlier this year.

They volunteered to act as ambassadors for Brain Tumour UK and to do what they can to raise awareness and funds.

Taking a break from the pressures of touring, the brothers had a coffee with some of the members of the Norwich Support Group at the town's Cafe Bar Marzano. It was a good opportunity for everyone to share their experiences and to hear each other's stories.

Ryan and Dan honoured the Group with a personal performance of 'Tears of an Angel' - a song they wrote for Tal – moving everyone to tears with their beautiful voices and thoughtful lyrics. (‘Tears of an Angel' is on the boys' debut album ‘RyanDan’.)

The recently formed Norwich Support Group has brought together brain tumour patients, families and friends. They are keen to make a positive difference to others in the area – for details of the Norwich and other local Support Groups, see our page on groups.
