Donating

Your donation is important to us

Thank you for your interest in making a donation to Brain Tumour UK. As a charity, we rely upon voluntary donations to defeat brain tumours through programmes of research, education and support.

In 2005 we committed funding of £250,000 over three years to four new research projects. We need funds to support these projects; to extend our telephone information and support service; update our information leaflets; develop regional forums; sustain initiatives such as our Phone Pals scheme; promote learning; and finally to raise awareness through a programme of conferences and seminars.

Your donation makes a difference

Here are some of the ways in which your contribution will make a positive difference to the lives of those affected by a brain tumour.

  • £60 buys over two hours of a researcher's time
  • £15 enables us to answer and follow up more phone calls to our national Helpline
  • £30 enables us to host a one hour Phone Pals telephone support group for up to ten patients and carers
  • £100 provides a bursary space for a patient and carer at our two-day residential Educational Conference in July
  • £24 will ensure that eight patients and carers receive an up-to-date and high quality information booklet on brain tumours
  • £10 goes towards maintaining our website as a one-stop information shop.
