Our challenge is to raise sufficient money to fund research into brain tumours, as well as offer a local support network to patients and their families. We also need to raise awareness of our organisation so that we are known to those who need us.
We are looking for volunteer Cheerleaders to join our team. This is a brand new role and promises to be a whole lot of fun. We’re looking for people who can make a lot of noise at marathons and other fundraising events in order to encourage those running for us and to let the public know that Brain Tumour UK’s supporters are there.
Key tasks
• To keep in contact with our Fundraising Team to know when we have an event taking place that you can attend
• To travel to events with friends and family and fly the flag for Brain Tumour UK
Skills required
• The ability to motivate, enthuse and support others
• An empathy and commitment to what Brain Tumour UK is trying to achieve
Resources required
• Access to a telephone and, if possible, a computer with internet/email facilities
• Working from home, but able to travel to places to take part in the events
Time required
• Flexible time commitment
You will be supported by the Fundraising Team at Brain Tumour UK and other staff and line managers.
All our volunteers are fully covered by our insurance whilst carrying out roles on behalf of our organisation and we pay towards out-of-pocket expenses.
If you feel you could become one of our Cheerleaders, then please contact us. We’d love to talk to you about what you think you could manage. Help us to make a difference!
