Our Vision
Our Vision
It is the charity's vision to make sure that by the year 2014 there will be national awareness of Brain Tumours in the UK and an accurate understanding of the incidence and impact of the condition.

Brain Tumours will no longer be seen as an orphan disease. There will be dedicated research centres across the UK, aligned to brain tumour hospital units, who will be working in collaboration with scientists and clinicians across the world on a focussed and effective programme of research.

Individuals will be diagnosed and treated more speedily and effectively support and information will be readily available at the point of diagnosis for patients and carers Significantly, patient survival rate will be significantly greater and the quality of life for survivors will be vastly improved.

Our mission is to conquer brain tumours in partnership with all who share our concern, through a combination of Research, Education and Support.

AIMS

Our aims are to:

  1. Increase research into the condition
  2. High quality and user-relevant scientific, medical, social and epidemiological research into the biology, cause, prevention, treatment and cure of brain tumours, and the incidence and impact of the condition

  3. Improve quality of and accessibility to information and support
  4. Includes both practical and emotional support for patients and all who share their concern

  5. This increase awareness and knowledge of brain tumours
  6. Amongst medical and allied professionals, the media, policy makers and the general public

  7. Advocate for enhanced treatment and care of brain tumour patients
  8. Clinical and non-clinical, of patients and carers
